What time does the ceremony start?
5:00 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The ceremony will begin promptly; please arrive no more than 10 minutes early to be seated. The event will conclude at 9:00 PM.
What is the Dress Code?
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors in a wooded garden setting—please dress for warm weather. Garden-party attire is recommended: sundresses, lightweight suits, dressy separates, or linen. We suggest women avoid stiletto-style heels (and very thin heels) that can sink into grass; lower, wider heels, wedges, dressy flats, or elegant sandals are best.
Will the ceremony and reception be at the same venue?
Yes — both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same property in Forest, VA. After the ceremony, guests will be guided across the grounds to the reception area; signage will direct you. If you need accessible assistance or a nearby drop-off point, please contact us and we’ll arrange help.
Should guests carpool to the property?
Yes—please carpool when possible. Parking at the property is limited and it’s a residential area, so sharing rides helps reduce congestion for neighbors and ensures everyone can find a spot.
What happens if it rains?
If it rains, the ceremony will be moved to the covered reception area on the property; the schedule will remain the same and guests should follow signage for seating.
Are the venues wheelchair accessible?
We’re sorry — the venues are not wheelchair accessible due to uneven terrain, steps, and grassy paths. If you need assistance, please let us know and we’ll coordinate nearby parking, a level drop-off point, and a helper to assist with navigation.
Do you prefer gifts or cash?
We kindly request contributions to our honeymoon fund and excursions, available on the Registry page of this website. Your love and presence are the greatest gifts—thank you for celebrating with us.
Is there anything guests should bring?
We recommend bringing whatever helps you enjoy the day comfortably: a light jacket or shawl for cooler evening temperatures, sunscreen and a hat for daytime sun, and comfortable shoes suitable for grass. If you’d like, bring a small purse or crossbody for essentials.
Who should I contact with questions?
Please contact Adia, Scott, or the mother of the bride, Tammie, with any questions.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask guests to refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present; our photographer will capture the ceremony and we’ll share images afterward. If you’d like photos, please feel free to take them during the receiving line and reception.
Can I bring someone not listed on my invitation?
Because the venue has a strict 25‑guest limit, please attend only if your name is on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding as we follow the venue’s rules.
Are there vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available—our caterer will provide clearly labeled dishes at the reception. If you have a specific allergy or dietary restriction (e.g., nut, shellfish, severe gluten allergy), please let us know in advance by emailing Adia or Scott so we can notify the caterer and ensure safe accommodations.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes—there will be an open bar with a selection of beer, wine, and a few signature cocktails; premium liquor choices will be limited. Non-alcoholic beverages and water will also be available.
